THE NITTY-GRITTY
What am I even dealing with here, like, physically?
An alien! Magolor is a round, floating, brown-skinned alien with yellow eyes, two conical ears, and two free-floating hands that are not physically attached to his body. Everything in this picture that is not his eyes or the brown skin around them is covered in clothing; he has no blue or white or yellow markings. He will always be covered entirely except for his eye area unless stated otherwise.
He is about the size of a standard Squishable and weighs around 10 pounds. He moves by hovering freely in the air and will generally be speaking to people at eye level or slightly below it.
He looks kind of like he has cat ears. Is he a cat?
The short answer: Surprise, he's actually a bird!
The much longer answer: Canon has never revealed what Magolor looks like under his clothing, and it's extremely unlikely it ever will. We know that his ears are the same brown as his face, and that he probably has five-fingered/human-ish hands under his mittens, and that's literally all we get.
That said, I'm not the kind of person who can play a character whose body I don't know anything about the workings of, so I had to make some educated choices in what I think he actually looks like, and my conclusion is that he's a type of Doomer, which is a group of mostly avian aliens that closely relate to Magolor's intro game/origins. I decided on this because 1. it makes the most sense when you take into account everything about his character, and 2. I also felt like it har har. You can see my in-depth rationale here if you care; note that this was written a while ago and that canon has outright confirmed some of my once-assumptions since (e.g. that the things on his head are ears, and that he wasn't born on Halcandra).
Post-Sidereal, Magolor is much less obsessive about concealing this and has even done things like publicly appear naked in the hot springs, which is about as scandalous as Kirby publicly appearing naked in all of his games. In a new setting it will take him some time to be that open again, but it's more likely than it once was.
What am I even dealing with here, like, mentally and emotionally?
I decided to just do this in brief list format instead of subjecting anyone to any more of my overexplaining. Besides, you should thread with me to find out, so long as none of the below puts you off (and fair if it does, I have an opt-out for that)!

- A cheerfully lying and conniving capitalist snake
- Extremely intelligent and highly skilled in many areas, both magical and mundane
- Not actually a terrible person or incapable of forming deep, loving connections over time
